Hey Humans!!!

So I went to Sit Happens (http://www.sithappens.org/) and met two really nice trainers. I was very nervous at first and growled and woofed a bit. They decided to give me some frozen cream cheese....................YUM!! That seemed to calm me down some. Then they started tossing liver treats at me................can you believe it! My dream come true............liver treats everywhere!
I eventually went and took treats right out of their hands. Mom said I did a really awesome job!

Today we had company over. I gave them a woof so mom hooked me up to the umbilical leash. I settled down right away. She decided to let me off the leash and I got to go outside and supervise dad and his friend fixing the roof! Then we all came inside and I laid quietly right my mom and dad's friends feet (well - two feet away.................his feet were kinda smelly! ;o) )

Thought I would show a picture of me and my big brother. His name is Dexter. Did you notice we are holding paws. Now that I am getting bigger, Dexter sorta likes me!

  2. Smitty's new pictures on the AARCS website are great! He is almost as handsome as his brother Dexter…will never be as pretty as his sister Moblee but his brindle is oh so beautiful. The story of the mange babies makes me cry every time I read it. Thank goodness, God, Budda, Ala and all the rest that there are rescue organizations and foster homes to give all these guys a good happy life. Thank goodness for all those adopters too! We have three rescues and one pet store pup that probably would have been put down in another situation and they are the things in life that make it all worthwhile…give a pup/dog your heart and watch it grow 10 sizes bigger (as the Grinch would say)…they are the best therapy and companions in the world. You will never regret what you have given and what you get. One of ours, which is 120 lbs after 4 years still has some fears but that's what makes him so special and unique…another one has no fears…how do you weigh those two out?!! Way to go Smitty and the ever wonderful foster family that he is with now…way to go!
