It was bath time tonight................................my least favorite thing in life but my mom tells me I need to have them so that it helps my coat. I was getting very, very itchy so the special shampoo helped me.

She took a picture of my body so you people can see what a nice shiney coat I have and what handsome brindle legs I have too!

My mom gave us extra treats tonight. She said I was such a good boy in the bathtub that I deserved a few of my favorite treats..................Purebite Dried LIVER!!!! Bet you humans are really, really jealous of me getting spoiled with such a delicacy!

Moblee and I both posed for the camera and sat very still....................for one out of the 50 pictures my mom tried to take!!!!

Now that the Chicago Blackhawks have won the hockey game, I figured it was time for me to do my blog. What an exciting game hey?

I had my 3 week check up with Dr. McBride on Thursday. I have good news and not so good news.....................

For the good news.............I gained a whole BUNCH of weight again. I tipped the scales at 17.3 kg! Dr. McBride was very surprised.

For the not so good news.......................those little critters, called mites, are still irritating my skin. I am having quite the time shaking them. Dr. McBride said it can be a very long process and not to get discouraged. I have a few thin patches of hair on me too but Dr. McBride wasn't too concerned about that.

Mom isn't happy with all this yucky weather. I guess yucky weather = yucky yard which = muddy feet. My mom knows that I jump alot on Moblee's back when we play..........seems to be ALOT of muddy paw prints, just my size, on her back.

Dad has figured out how to give me the perfect smile. He calls it my evil smile. What do you think? Could I ever look evil............no..........

And today mom went to the store for dog food and treats. She got some really good, healthy chew sticks for us. They are made with vegetables.

The best part is the squeaky chicken she bought me....................it makes really chicken sounds.......dad says it is "annoying", especially when he is watching the hockey game.

Gotta run......................Dexter just came in and I need to check out if he ate anything good outside!

Hello everyone! Another update on me! Can you say snuggle bug? That's one of my nicknames.

I love to snuggle right in and get my lovin's from my humans (well my mom and dad anyway - other humans are still a bit scarey but I am getting better).

Going for another walk shortly............just waiting for the rain clouds to pass over and my mom to get her shoes on! I had my mom take a picture of me in my crate so you can see how much I LOVE it! Sorry - I didn't crate clean before the picture and I have some food spilled. I will clean that up later. My mom feeds me in my crate because I take FOREVER to eat, and being of a "slimmer" build she likes me to have food constantly. She said that most times when there are other dogs in the home that us pups will eat it all at once................well I am NOT a normal pup..........I like to savour my morsels. ;o)

A little bit about my personality so when I am looking for my perfect match of a forever home you will know what I am like:

- house trained

- crate trained

- love my stuffed toys (but I do try and disect limbs sometimes)

- love treats and have a very gentle mouth

- learning to walk on a leash

- get along with other dogs and cats

- not really hyper

- love Costco beds

- like to run in the yard and play with sticks!

Gotta love this weekend. Sun, sun and more sun!

Today my mom put me out in the front yard on a tie-out. This way I get to explore turf that I haven't been on much. There are lots of dead leaves to sniff and all the Spring smells are starting to emerge.

Dad is changing mom's brakes for her so mom told me that I can supervise Dad. I love being able to boss him around................but for some reason he doesn't listen!

The neighbor came over to say hello to me. I was very nervous and dribbled. Oops! He pet me and I didn't die (as I thought might happen). I guess people aren't as scary as I am perceiving them to be. The neighbor can't believe how much I have grown in two weeks (they doggysat me for a few hours while dad was helping someone move). He said that I have quite the "set of paws" and that I have the most beautiful brindle coloring.

Yesterday Loralee came over too and I was scared of her till Moblee came in and wanted lots of "lovin'" from Loralee. If Moblee thinks she is a good person then I trust her. I then let Loralee give me liver treats and pet me. Mom told me it is good to be brave like that.

Wow! Finally..............nice weather.................. Bet all you folks are happy to see all the snow melted. I know my mom is glad. She said something about no more dirty paws!

My mom said I have quite the set of mitts on me. People comment all the time too. And guess what! - THEY ARE WEBBED! Maybe I will take up synchronized swimming when I get older.

Today my mom was not feeling well. She stayed home. I still had to spend part of the day snoozing in my crate but when she woke up she let Moblee and I outside to play in the sun. We ran and ran and ran.

Then Dexter decided he would come outside. He is my idol. He thinks I am just a little annoying twirp though. He is starting to like me now because I am getting to be a big boy and I don't bug him as much. I just want to do everything that he does.

Tonight my mom and dad are going to try me on the leash with Moblee. See if I will walk down the block and back. Not too sure about that but I guess if I can be with my people I will be very brave! Dad said when I get home I can have my favorite thing in the world............one of his belly rubs!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I want all of you mothers to have a special day, especially all you FOSTER MOMS and RESCUE MOMS out there! Us dogs, would not be healthy and happy if it were not for you and your special hearts.

So I have had a busy morning already. TWO solid hours of wrestling....................SO much FUN!

Moblee and I got so carried away that we knocked the chair cushion out of place.

Then it was time to get a the "good old rubbin' " from my dad. He is the BEST at that. I could spend hours getting the body massaged from him.

Apparently this afternoon is going to be Smitty Bath Time......................not looking forward to that!

Nana nana boo boo.........I am playing out in the sun today! Moblee and I have been outside most of this morning (minus my mid-morning nap and snack). The fresh air is wonderful. So much room to romp in the yard too.

Sometimes Moblee doesn't pay attention to me (and it is ALL about moi!) so I get her attention by a chomp on her leg. I do a sneak attack under her belly. Mom said I am growing like a weed so not sure how much longer I will be able to fit under.

I spent some of the morning looking for ants.........they are so much fun to try and scoop up. The odd twig is good to chew on too.

I went to see Dr. McBride yesterday and the news was not as good as I hoped for. The positive thing is that he thinks I look wonderful, the negative thing is that he still found a live mite on me........this meaning that I need to stay on my medication and have to wait for vaccinations. Oh - oh.........and I gained another 5 lbs!!!! I weighed in at 14.6 kg..............................pretty good hey?

Just thought I would stop and give you a brief update............need to get back outside into the sun...................aahhhhhhhhh - I am dreaming about some afternoon tanning on the deck!

My mom is finally back from visiting Dog Town at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. Apparently she stopped in Las Vegas for a couple of days too.

She brought Moblee and I a toy from there. It is a game of "try and get it" with Moblee - she doesn't like me to have ALL the toys!

Mom couldn't believe how much I grew over the five days that she was gone!!! Apparently I am "ALL LEGS" now. And she said something about my ears are doing the "funky chicken" moves.............flippin' all over. She is pretty sure one of them is going to stand up soon.

While mom was gone dad told her that I was a bit of a brat. Can't a guy just have a little fun with the roll of toilet paper!??!! Sheesh.....................it was only a 1/4 of a roll...............Can you imagine the WHOLE roll!? I also went and spent a few hours at the neighbors as dad had to help someone move. They have two cool dogs that I got to play with and then I got to sleep on Dominic's bed!!!! LUXURY!!!!

Hey - I am heading to see Dr. McBride on Friday. I can't wait! I am hoping that my scrapings are clear and we can move on to getting me all vaccinated up and neutered....................getting me one step closer to adoption.
