Finally the end of the week. It didn't end on a good note though. My dad was doing a big cuddle with me and realized that there was a weird smell by my ears. My mom flipped my ears up and YUCK -- They were very dirty and smelly. She cleaned them up but she realized that I probably had an ear infection.

First thing this morning I got to go for a car ride to the Vet (I really am not fond of the car ride as my tummy doesn't sit well........blurp!). Dr. Kimura took a look in my ears and YUCK was right! Dear Audrey, the Vet Tech at McKnight Vet Hospital, got to give them a good cleaning and I headed home with my medicine. The medicine sure feels good in my ears though.

I played a lot with Moblee outside today. My mom wasn't happy that my freshly washed jacket had muddy paw prints on it! I explained to her that I can't get my feet onto my back so she should look at that other blonde dog as the culprit!

Haylo was teasing me today. She was hanging on her scratch pad, swinging around the bottom to get my attention. It's true "cats are so needy" - she is always trying to get me to chase her AND I am not allowed.

Gotta run and do my evening duties outside! Then bedtime - in my freshly washed bedding!

Psstttt.........................nice day till the SNOW started to blow in. This Calgary weather is unpredictable for a pup like me!!!!

When it gets rainy or windy out and I am outside, I hide under the fishing boat. My dad discovered that I have moved some of my "hoarding items" in there too! ;o)

I have a few visitors last night. Jess, Rob and Joanne came over to visit but I played "stranger danger" with them. I eventually settled in by Jess. She thinks it is because I liked her when actually it was the liver treats in her hand that I wanted.

Today I had Renee come and visit me again. She brought me some duck treats, chew sticks and my VERY OWN toy................a little horse. I immediately took the horse over to my toy haven. Then I decided to be brave enough to eat the duck treats out of Renee's hand. My mom told me that I was being very, very brave.

Then my dad decided I could have some lap time. Aaaahhhh my favorite!

I am just heading for a snooze now.

Oh Happy Dance, Oh Happy Dance!

I had my Vet appointment, this evening, with Dr. McBride. He took four scrapings from my body and analyzed them. The Doc was proud to announce no live mites!!!! YEAH oh YEAH!

I also agained 5 lbs in 19 days! That's ALOT of eating! My foster mom and dad are obviously giving me good food and lots of TLC.

My medicine will continue until at least my next visit with Dr. McBride and then they will decide if I have to continue it or not. I still have lots of my coat to grow but eventually...........it will nice and thick (let's cross our paws). Also my skin is still shedding all the yucky stuff so I do have to have my weekly baths.

The girls at the front desk and the Techs couldn't believe how cute I am (especially with hair they said). They all googled over me.........I am quite the handsome fella I guess. They were so excited that they could add a color to my file....................they call me Brindle coloring! They said before I had no hair and they had no idea what I would look like.

My brother is going on Thursday to see Dr. McBride. I am hoping that his news is as good as mine. Think pawsitive thoughts!

Oh man.................what another BEAUTIFUL day! I had to move into the shade. Now that my new coat is coming in, I get hot out in that sun.

Make sure if you are going to be outside for awhile that you put sunscreen on!

I met a really cute girl today and I have a little bit of a crush on her! Her name is Latte and she is beautiful. We have had a lot of fun together and I think she likes me too!

Latte is a rescue dog too but she is only visiting over the weekend as her adoptive mom and sister went skiing. Apparently my foster mom and dad fostered her for a few months. She had babies and is now spayed and found her forever home last fall. Latte told me all about it.

She said my foster mom is really cool! I know that already but it was nice to hear another dog think it too!

Today was a beautiful day! I have been hanging outside most of the day basking in the nice warm sun. Boy will I sleep tonight with all that fresh air I had today.

Oh.....oh..........Latte is whining for me............gotta run! Bye!!!!!

I'mmmmmmmmmm Back!

It has been a busy week around here. People coming, people going. I have met a couple new people but I played shy for one. Her name was Leanne. Not sure why I played shy......I think it is because she startled me and I didn't know there was someone new in the house. She gave me some of those YUMMY liver treats and then I realized she was a good person.

I made it through a whole week of my mom and dad working. I am TOTALLY crate trained. I try a bit of a "guilt trip" on my foster parents that lasts approximately 30 seconds. You think I would give up because they NEVER give in.

My housetraining is coming along. I have had a couple of accidents but I am really working on going to the door. My dad said I am a VERY smart puppy and he can't believe how well behaved I am for my age. I do get a little crazy when I am excited to play with Haylo, the cat, or with Moblee, the dog. Dexter, the other dog, is just an old crank pot so I try and stay out of his way! Otherwise, I am a pretty chillaxin' guy.

Moblee likes to flirt with me. She is one very silly Lab but then again........what Labs aren't silly ;o)

Today was so nice out. My dad put me outside but with the sun on my coat I was too hot and was panting. He decided to take it off and I fell much better. I am starting to get HAIR!!!!! I don't look like a "little piggy" any more!

I know, I know.....................I will just bite her legs and then she will give me that toy!

That didn't work so well. Maybe I will just try sitting on her legs and seeing if she will give up that Kong!

I'm BAACCCCKKKK! Did ya miss me???? So let's see...........what has happened over the last couple of days.

This snow didn't make me too happy. It was quite cool outside, even with my little jacket on. I just made a pit stop or two out there and headed back to the door. Today is nicer but it is muddy out. Did you know it's fun to dig in the mud............. ;o) Apparently that doesn't make my humans very happy.

I had two accidents in the house. Last night my dad went down stairs to put up some lights. He should have realized he shouldn't have taken so long.....................cause I had to GO!!!!! The good thing is I did it at the back door on the towel so that it was an easy clean up for him. This morning my mom was the one that wasn't paying attention and she could smell something "different" when she came upstairs! I am trying really hard tonight to have a good rest of the day!

Papa is still giving me lots of rubs. It feels so good on my skin. I just close my eyes and ENJOY!

My mom wants to take a picture of my feet for everyone. She said they are "huge mitts" and that I am gonna be a big boy! So watch for that one next time!

Good Evening all you followers............

I have had a very busy day. I played outside this morning and then played retrieve every toy in the toybox with my dad!

Oh.........oh!!!! And do you know what the best thing is besides sliced Rollover????? MY DAD GIVING ME PETS! He is the best at it and I am always requesting a good little rub from him!

Then a fellow dog lover, Renee, came to visit me. She brought some special cookies in her pocket............just for moi! Then Kim came over and I was too exhausted to visit. My mom put me in my crate for a nap...............and I napped for two solid hours! Mom said that us pups sleep lots when we are growing. I also have the hiccups too............another sign of getting big!

After getting dinner and my medicine, the cat and I played "stand off". It was so much fun! I didn't know that the cats actually chase dogs! She is one silly willy of a cat!

Moblee and I played tug-o-war tonight (she is the pretty blonde in the picture!). She is a real flirt and tease but she is so good about letting me get ahold of the toy before dragging me!

Well I am signing off for tonight. My mom and dad are back to work tomorrow so my updates may only be every couple of days!

Good Morning, Good Morning!

Just busy having my breakfast. Then I thought I would share it with the Hedgehog. If you look closely you can see him and I have something in common. He has an ouchie too. He has a sore nose (.............. I guess I chewed a little too hard).

Another successful night in the crate by the way!!! Gotta run............the day is just starting and I have lots to investigate! Mom said I need to get off my pillow so she can get some pictures of me elsewhere (but it is SO comfortable)!!!!

Woof!

Yeehaa!!! I am no longer stinky!!!! I had my bath tonight.............I am crisp and clean.

My mom said that she is going to sign me up for a TV reality show. I think she said it is called HOARDERS!

Yep! I am back with another update. My mom and dad are SO PROUD of me. I have not had an accident in the house! Today my mom was out and I went to the door. My Dad doesn't pay attention very well so I ran back and looked at him. He asked me if I needed to go out. I ran back to the door to let him know YES! It was quite the ordeal. Dad has never put my jacket on me.................sheesh.........I think he needed an instruction book but FINALLY............I got to go outside and do my business!

Last night I slept in my crate ALL NIGHT! I feel like such a big boy. I was a little scared at first and wimpered for a few minutes. Then my mom made it nice and dark by draping a blanket over the front......................I had my own little den! And no brothers or sisters to share it with! I stretched right out and snored away!

Better run.........................it's snack time!

My foster mom is so silly................she keeps wanting to take pictures of me! I know that I am popular but come on! A guy has to SLEEP sometimes and gets tired of posing.

Kim, the neighbor, came over to see me. We are buddies now. She brought Dexter, Moblee and me a Milk Bone...............................no wonder I love her! Y-U-M!

My mom has set my crate up. I am not quite too sure of it. I walked in and then turned around and came back out. She had the nerve to put my BED in it hoping that I would go in and snooze there. Nope - I plopped on the big dog bed...................man is it COMFY!

I took my medicine tonight like a trooper. Gotta run..........Moblee just came inside and she likes to show me her toys and have me try and get them away from her!

Hi People!!! My name is Smitty and as you can see I am one HANDSOME dude!!!!

I am one of AARCS Mange Babies. I just moved from Auntie Clarissa's home to my new foster home. I am already settled in. I was greeted at the door by the resident cat, Haylo. My new foster dad said that she is annoyed with me because I am not really interested in her. We sniffed noses and wagged tails (yes she wags her tail) and then I was off to investigate my new home.

My new foster mom put my bed in the living room for me. Right beside the BIG dog bed. I still like mine better even though only my bum fits in it!!!! My foster mom said she will go and buy me a bigger one next week!

I have a nice soft fleece coat to go outside in. It gets a tad chilly when you have NO hair! I have investigated the kitchen and living room so far. My dad took me out in the back yard and I hurried down the steps and did my business (they knew I had to go because I had some stinkies!).
